About the HR Business Partner position

The HRBP is primarily responsible for ensuring alignment between overall business objectives, departmental/business unit needs, and individual employee development, performance, staffing, and related issues. The successful HRBP establishes strong partnerships with business functions that facilitate support of common goals. S/he works to enhance employee experience and satisfaction by providing information, support, development on HR topics and issues.

HR Business Partner responsibilities are:

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with business managers across the organization
  • Understand functional and staffing needs relative to performance standards and KPIs
  • Provide input on workforce planning
  • Manage end-to-end recruiting process as needed for the organization
  • Conduct Training Needs Assessments at individual and team level as needed
  • Provide Leadership Development training
  • Analyze performance trends across KPIs to identify intervention opportunities
  • Support the SVP of HR on Employee Relations issues as needed
  • Partner with managers on matters of employee development
  • Support HiPo identification and program implementation
  • Support managers with performance guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, discipline)
  • Implement HR Policies and Procedures, ensuring full understanding and compliance
  • Participate in organizational restructuring
  • Work continuously to improve morale, employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Support benefits enrollment and ongoing benefits issues and questions

HR Business Partner requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP desired
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or comparable role
  • At least 2 years’ experience in training and/or professional development
  • Leadership Development experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and multi-state Employee and Labor Laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines: performance management, employee relations, recruiting, diversity, compensation, benefits, organizational design
